I was contacted at the start of 2023 by the owners and management of a staycation residence based in rural Kent, that had been subject to a vast renovation and restoration project over several years.
The stunning, sprawling location surrounded by quaint picturesque country lanes and vast open landscape, The Hideaway offers the perfect escape for its guests. While being just past Maidstone with major rail and road connections, peace and tranquillity abounds within the grounds of this Grade II listed property dating back to 1637, accented with a heated pool (seasonal,) and a hot tub all year round. The property can accommodate 8 to 10 guests both peak and off peak season, ideal for groups and close friends, or large families wanting some down time and quality rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday.
The ambience is instantaneous on entering, both cosy and contemporary, a mix of the original charm of high ceilings and wooden beams, to the modern touches and decor. Boasting a games room, table tennis, log store, snug filled to the brim with toys and games, pond, Kissing tree complete with swing, herb and fairy garden, vast open dining and bar area overlooking the pool, sprawling kitchen and downstairs wet room, there simply is nothing to take but yourselves.
By establishing this working relationship here at The Barn, it focuses centrally on providing accommodating artwork within the property to each individually tailored themed room.
Attention to detail is paramount, with key aspects thought of from start to finish. Guests can have online food shopping, hampers, or treatments booked upon request, with Christmas festivities also catered for should you wish to make it a haven over the Christmas period.
During a wintery and wonderful gifted stay at The Hideaway, Sammy, Kyra and I set about deciding the exact pieces and nature of the art to be displayed, discussing and selecting colour accents, mounts, and orientation of each piece for every room and wall.
Each en suite, bathroom, bedroom, and living space has its own theme to accentuate the styling and surroundings of the property, all of which are available to purchase directly on site to take lovingly home from our home to yours.
